GEORGIA — A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon on a busy roadway in Gwinnett County, according to police.
Gwinnett County police said the crash happened on Jimmy Carter Boulevard at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Peachtree Corners.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a car and taken to a hospital for treatment. As of around 2:40 p.m., police said they did not have information on the person’s condition.
The crash led to traffic disruptions in the area, with westbound lanes of Jimmy Carter Boulevard temporarily shut down at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard while officers investigated.
Officials said the roadway has since reopened.
No additional details about the circumstances of the crash or the driver involved have been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
