Police searching for missing 14-year-old in Florida

FLORIDA — Police in Pembroke Park are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 14-year-old girl.

According to the Pembroke Park Police Department, Deauna Wooley was last seen around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was reportedly wearing a white shirt and pink shorts at the time.

Authorities have issued a “be on the lookout” alert for the teen, who is believed to have run away.

Investigators said a witness reported seeing Wooley speaking with a male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt at McTyre Park, located at 3501 SW 56th Avenue in nearby West Park. The witness told police the two were later seen walking northbound on Southwest 56th Avenue.

Wooley’s family told officers this is the first time she has run away and said there were no disturbances at home prior to her disappearance.
