OKLAHOMA — An Oklahoma man was killed in a crash involving an 18-wheeler Wednesday morning on Interstate 40, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the crash occurred around 7:20 a.m. near mile marker 312 in Sequoyah County.

According to a crash report, 61-year-old Paul Kelly of Bristow was traveling eastbound in an 18-wheeler alongside another vehicle when the incident happened.

Investigators said the other vehicle attempted to change lanes, and Kelly failed to yield. The report states the truck then swerved to the right, left the roadway and struck a tree before coming to a stop.

Officials said multiple witnesses remained at the scene until troopers arrived.

No other injuries were reported.
