SOUTH CAROLINA — A Moncks Corner man is facing multiple drug and weapons charges following a months-long investigation by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office that resulted in the seizure of large amounts of narcotics, firearms, and nearly $300,000 in cash and financial assets.

Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced Tuesday that Aundreas Martell Johnson, 36, was arrested March 22 after a seven-month investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the Moncks Corner area.

According to investigators, the investigation began in September 2025 and identified Johnson as a distributor of methamphetamine and cocaine. Detectives later executed a search warrant at a home on Resinwood Road, where authorities said they uncovered what they described as a large-scale drug trafficking operation.

During the search, deputies reported seizing approximately 2.24 pounds of cocaine, 4.29 pounds of methamphetamine, and about 27.3 grams of cocaine base. Five firearms were also recovered, including one that had been reported stolen within the jurisdiction of the Moncks Corner Police Department.

Authorities said they found about $230,100 in U.S. currency at the home, along with drug packaging materials, digital scales, a money counter, and other equipment commonly associated with drug distribution.

Investigators also recovered documents and electronic evidence linking Johnson to narcotics sales, including CashApp transactions believed to be connected to drug activity. A subsequent financial freeze order revealed more than $30,000 in a CashApp account tied to suspected narcotics proceeds, along with roughly $25,900 in additional banking assets.

In total, law enforcement officials said nearly $286,714 in cash and financial assets were seized during the investigation.

“This investigation demonstrates the ongoing commitment of our narcotics task force to identify, investigate, and dismantle those responsible for flooding our communities with dangerous narcotics,” Lewis said in a statement, describing Johnson as one of the county’s largest drug dealers.

Johnson is charged with trafficking cocaine, 400 grams or more; trafficking methamphetamine, 400 grams or more; trafficking cocaine base between 10 and 28 grams; possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and possession of a stolen firearm.

He remains in custody at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
