NEW JERSEY — One person is dead following a shooting in Huntington Station on Monday, according to police.
Authorities said the shooting happened around 4:15 p.m. in the area of West Pulaski Road and Railroad Street.
Police described the incident as a targeted shooting. Homicide Squad detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation.
A heavy police presence was reported in the area, including a helicopter overhead and a K-9 unit searching on the ground.
No additional details about the victim or any potential suspects have been released.
