
FLORIDA — A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a pickup truck early Sunday morning in Pasco County, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Industrial Boulevard and Anclote Boulevard in Holiday.
Investigators said a Ford F-150, driven by a 33-year-old Holiday man, was traveling northbound on Industrial Boulevard when the driver attempted to turn left at the intersection. At the same time, a Kawasaki motorcycle operated by a 19-year-old man from New Port Richey was traveling eastbound on Anclote Boulevard at a high rate of speed.
Authorities said the pickup truck turned into the path of the motorcycle, causing the two vehicles to collide.
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
