
VIRGINIA — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured early Saturday morning in Chesapeake.
According to the Chesapeake Police Department, officers responded around 4:09 a.m. to the 4000 block of Indian River Road following a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police provided life-saving measures until emergency medical personnel arrived. The victim was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment. His condition has not been released.
Officers and detectives remained at the scene as the investigation continued.
