OHIO — A man was taken to the hospital after telling police he had been stabbed multiple times Thursday evening, according to reports.
Officers were called around 9:05 p.m. to a building on East Midlothian Boulevard, where they found the man lying in a hallway in a pool of blood.
According to police reports, the man had a stab wound on his leg with a belt tied around it when officers arrived. As officers began providing first aid, paramedics arrived and discovered an additional stab wound to his rib cage.
The victim told police he did not know why he was attacked and said he had been stabbed “all over,” according to reports.
The man’s stepdaughter told police that he called her saying something had happened on the first floor of the building where they live. When she arrived and knocked on his door, he opened it and collapsed into her arms. She then called 911 and stayed with him until help arrived.
The stepdaughter also told officers they passed a possible suspect when entering the building, though no further details about the suspect were immediately released.
The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
