VIRGINIA — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in Augusta County early Tuesday morning.
According to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:08 a.m. on Crimora Station Lane reporting that a person had been shot.
When deputies arrived, they found an adult man dead at the scene.
“At this time, there is no known threat to the community,” Sheriff Donald L. Smith said.
No additional details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the shooting have been released.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials said more information will be provided as it becomes available.
