VIRGINIA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Monday afternoon in Danville, according to police.
Danville Police said officers responded around 12:45 p.m. to the 1300 block of South Boston Road following reports of a crash.
Investigators said a motorcyclist riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson Street Glide was traveling westbound when a 2022 Nissan Kicks crossed into its path.
The motorcyclist, identified as 40-year-old Nicolas Paul Samuels of Keeling, was transported from the scene but later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 25-year-old Daniel Rashunn Dickerson of Danville, was also taken from the scene for medical treatment.
Authorities said charges are pending as the investigation continues.
Danville Public Works and the Danville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
