
KENTUCKY — A woman was hospitalized after a shooting in Louisville’s Shawnee neighborhood Sunday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded just before 4:30 p.m. to the 100 block of South 39th Street following reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Police provided aid at the scene until she could be transported to a hospital.
Authorities said the woman’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police also confirmed that all parties involved have been accounted for, and the department’s Domestic Violence Unit is handling the investigation.
Officials have not released additional details about what led up to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
