
VIRGINIA — One person was injured in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning in Albemarle County, according to police.
Officers with the Albemarle County Police Department responded around 4:24 a.m. on April 12 to the 400 block of Premier Circle following reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to UVA Health for treatment and is reported to be in non-life-threatening condition.
Police said two other people inside a nearby business at the time of the shooting were also injured, though their injuries were described as non-life-threatening and they were not struck by gunfire.
Authorities said the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived. No description of the suspect or vehicle has been released.
