
ILLINOIS — Three men were injured, one critically, in an overnight shooting in the Irving Park neighborhood on the city’s Northwest Side, according to Chicago police.
Police said the shooting occurred around 2:45 a.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of West Irving Park Road. Investigators reported that the three men were standing outside when an unknown female suspect opened fire in their direction from a distance.
A 31-year-old man was shot in the right calf and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in fair condition. A 38-year-old man was shot in the leg and is also in fair condition.
A third victim, a 37-year-old man, was shot multiple times and taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
Authorities have not announced any arrests, and a motive for the shooting has not been released.
Area detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
