GEORGIA — A 16-year-old has died following a crash involving an overturned pickup truck in Bibb County on Saturday evening, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash occurred around 7:51 p.m. near the intersection of Vinson Road and Liberty Church Road.
Investigators reported that the driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling off-road when they lost control of the vehicle, causing the truck to overturn.
Authorities say a 16-year-old passenger riding in the bed of the truck was ejected during the crash. The victim, identified as Harrison Doyle Morris, was found unresponsive at the scene and pronounced dead by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
The 16-year-old driver, along with a front-seat passenger and a 15-year-old rear passenger inside the truck, were all injured and transported to a local hospital. Officials said their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
