KENTUCKY — A person was hospitalized Saturday after a police pursuit that began in Oldham County ended in west Louisville, according to Louisville Metro Police.
The pursuit concluded around 4:23 p.m. near the intersection of 41st Street and West Muhammad Ali Boulevard. Officials say Louisville Metro Police assisted in the pursuit, which originated in Oldham County.
According to police, an occupant of the vehicle involved in the pursuit had been shot during an incident that occurred outside of Jefferson County. When officers arrived at the scene, they provided aid to the injured person.
The individual was transported to UofL Hospital with injuries that authorities say do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police have not released details about what led to the initial pursuit or the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
