One person injured following shooting incident in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — Winston-Salem police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man injured at a gas station on Akron Drive, according to authorities.

Police said 48-year-old Raymond Craig Johnson arrived at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Investigators determined the shooting stemmed from a disturbance between Johnson and someone he knew. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Shell gas station located at 500 Akron Drive.

Officials said there is no ongoing threat to the public, as those involved were known to each other.
