PENNSYLVANIA — Three people were arrested Friday after authorities seized more than $17,000 worth of drugs during a traffic stop in Cambria County, according to officials.
Court documents identify the suspects as Titus Gupton, Tauquan Leonard and Brandon Browne. Each is charged with four felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance. Bail for each defendant was set at $150,000.
According to the Cambria County District Attorney’s Office, law enforcement agencies received information about a suspected drug trafficking vehicle traveling to the area on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Richland Township Police conducted a traffic stop after the vehicle entered Cambria County.
During the stop, officers requested assistance from a K-9 unit from the Cambria County Detectives’ Office. Authorities said the K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading investigators to obtain a search warrant.
Police said the three suspects were detained and the vehicle was towed to the Richland Township Police Department, where the search was conducted.
Investigators reported finding approximately 125.8 grams of suspected cocaine, valued at about $12,580, 101 tablets of suspected methamphetamine valued at about $5,050, and $3,044 in cash.
Multiple agencies assisted in the investigation, including the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, Cambria County Sheriff’s Office, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Cambria County Detectives and Richland Township Police.
The case remains under investigation.
