TEXAS — Police are investigating after a burning body was discovered Friday morning along the Leon Creek Greenway on the city’s Northwest Side.
According to authorities, the body was found just before 9 a.m. at the Prue Trailhead by two bicyclists who were riding in the area.
San Antonio fire officials confirmed the body was on fire when it was discovered, and the flames spread to nearby trees before crews arrived.
Emergency responders quickly extinguished the fire, and police secured the scene as part of an active investigation.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the individual or provided details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
