
TEXAS — Two people were killed in a rollover crash Thursday morning in Briscoe County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. on State Highway 207 near Lake Mackenzie.
Investigators said Billy Jack Nava, 58, of Silverton, was driving northbound on SH 207 when his Chevrolet 1500 veered into the southbound lane, crossed the roadway and left the road. The vehicle then struck a road sign and rolled over multiple times down a steep embankment, traveling approximately 350 feet.
Authorities said Nava and his passenger, 19-year-old Wyatt Little of Silverton, were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
