TENNESSEE — Two people were arrested Friday morning after authorities seized several ounces of methamphetamine during an ongoing drug investigation in Crossville, according to police.

The Crossville Police Department said the arrests came as part of a joint “proactive enforcement operation” conducted in the early morning hours. The operation is tied to an ongoing effort to disrupt the distribution of methamphetamine in the region.

Investigators said officers identified the suspects through coordinated surveillance and other investigative methods before executing the operation.

Police reported seizing approximately seven ounces of methamphetamine, which officials said carries a substantial street value. In addition to the drugs, authorities also recovered about $2,300 in cash.

Charges are pending against the two suspects arrested in connection with the investigation.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and additional details may be released as it continues.
