
PENNSYLVANIA — Thousands of residents across Pennsylvania are without electricity Friday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, approximately 2,539 customers statewide are without power, representing about 0.04% of the more than 6.7 million customers tracked.
Cumberland County reported the highest number of outages, with 318 customers affected. Other counties with notable outages included Centre County with 250 outages, Bucks County with 247 and Allegheny County with 213. Additional outages were reported in Delaware, Perry, Bradford and Lycoming counties.
By utility provider, FirstEnergy reported the largest number of outages, with 1,186 customers affected. PECO Energy Company reported 759 outages, while PPL Electric Utilities and Duquesne Light Company also reported hundreds of customers without power.
Statewide, Pennsylvania ranks among the top states in the nation for outages, currently holding the sixth-highest number of outages and the tenth-highest percentage of customers affected.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, and customers are encouraged to report outages to their local utility providers.
