
PENNSYLVANIA — SWAT teams were called to a Pittsburgh neighborhood following a violent assault involving a baseball bat and a knife, according to police.
Officers were first dispatched around 9:30 p.m. to the 2100 block of Federal Street in the city’s Perry South neighborhood for reports of a fight and stabbing.
Investigators said two men allegedly assaulted a third man using a baseball bat before stabbing him in the head. The victim was able to make his way to an EMS station on his own and was then transported to a hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.
Following the attack, SWAT officers were called to a home on the 2100 block of Koerner Avenue, where police believed the suspects might be located.
Authorities said no suspects were found inside the home. Police are continuing to search for those involved.
No identities have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
