MICHIGAN — One person was killed in a crash early Thursday morning at the intersection of Seven Mile Road and Southfield Road on Detroit’s west side.
According to the Detroit Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:20 a.m. and involved two vehicles. Investigators say one vehicle rear-ended another at the intersection.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured, police said.
Authorities remained on scene for several hours as crews worked to clear the roadway. The intersection was expected to reopen later in the morning following cleanup efforts.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
