OHIO — A man from the Bond Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati was arrested after authorities say he threatened a family with a knife and later intentionally crashed his vehicle in separate incidents early Sunday morning.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home in Franklin Township shortly before 1:30 a.m. after reports of a man threatening residents with a knife.

Investigators identified the suspect as Anthony Long. Authorities said Long allegedly approached the home and threatened a man with a knife. No injuries were reported.

Family members told deputies they were frightened during the encounter, which occurred outside their home. The suspect left the area before officers arrived.

Shortly after that incident, police in Clearcreek Township responded to a reported road rage situation. According to authorities, Long allegedly followed another driver home and intentionally struck the vehicle’s bumper in what was believed to be an attempt to run the driver off the road.

The driver went to the Clearcreek Township Police Department, where officers made contact with Long. Authorities said he did not initially comply with commands, and officers observed a folding knife inside his vehicle.

Long was taken into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated menacing, one count of aggravated trespass and one count of criminal damaging or endangering.

He is currently being held in the Warren County Jail on a cash bond.

The incidents remain under investigation.
