NORTH CAROLINA — A juvenile and three men were arrested following a police raid at a home in Wilson over the weekend, according to the Wilson Police Department.
Officers said they initially responded to a home in the 900 block of Briggs Street to serve an arrest warrant for Zakeithian Royster, 20. Upon arrival, officers reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence.
Royster was taken into custody without incident on the outstanding warrant. Two additional men at the home — Naseer Deberry, 19, and Shi’terrius McCray, 21 — were also arrested on existing warrants.
Police then obtained a search warrant for the home. During the search, investigators said they seized five machine-gun conversion devices, a stolen 9mm AR pistol, two Glock .40-caliber pistols, and approximately 194 grams of marijuana and MDMA.
Royster was later charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance in connection with the search.
A 17-year-old at the home was taken into custody by the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. Authorities said the juvenile faces charges including possession of a weapon of mass destruction, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. The juvenile’s name was not released.
Royster and McCray were each given a $1,000 secured bond and booked into the Wilson County Jail. Deberry was held without bond due to a prior case.
The investigation remains ongoing.
