
LOUISIANA — Nearly 3,000 homes and businesses are without electricity across Louisiana as of Wednesday morning, according to outage tracking data.
Officials reported approximately 2,988 customers without power statewide, representing about 0.13% of more than 2.3 million customers being tracked. Louisiana ranks among the states with the highest percentage of customers affected nationwide.
The largest number of outages was reported in Jefferson Parish, where more than 1,400 customers were without power. Calcasieu Parish and Iberia Parish also reported several hundred outages.
Additional outages were reported in St. Charles Parish, Orleans Parish and St. John the Baptist Parish.
Among utility providers, Entergy reported the highest number of outages, accounting for more than 2,700 customers without power. Other providers, including Cleco Power, also reported outages.
Crews are working to restore service as officials continue to monitor conditions across the state.
