
PENNSYLVANIA — More than 4,000 homes and businesses are without electricity across Pennsylvania as of Wednesday morning, according to outage tracking data.
Officials reported approximately 4,057 customers without power statewide, representing about 0.06% of more than 6.7 million customers being tracked. Pennsylvania currently ranks among the states with the highest number of outages nationwide.
The largest number of outages was reported in Forest County, where more than 600 customers were without power. Fayette County and Chester County also reported significant outages, with several hundred customers affected in each area.
Additional outages were reported in Lehigh County, Bucks County and Philadelphia.
Among utility providers, PPL Electric Utilities reported the highest number of outages, followed by FirstEnergy and PECO Energy Company.
Crews are working to restore service as officials continue to monitor conditions across the state.
