Police searching for suspect who damaged 20 mailboxes in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — Authorities are searching for the person responsible for damaging approximately 20 mailboxes in a single night in Columbus County, according to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the vandalism occurred during the early morning hours of April 6 in the North Whiteville community. Investigators reported that multiple mailboxes were intentionally destroyed.

Officials have released images of a vehicle believed to be connected to the incident and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects involved.

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or has information related to the case is urged to contact the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office or submit an anonymous tip through the department’s website.

The investigation remains ongoing.
