
FLORIDA — A man in his early 20s was killed early Wednesday morning after crashing into a concrete barrier near Interstate 295 in Jacksonville, according to authorities.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred around 3:10 a.m. on Pine Acres Road in the Mandarin area.
Investigators reported the man was driving an SUV northbound when he went through a metal dead-end barricade and struck a concrete barrier wall separating the roadway from I-295 near the Cameron Crossing neighborhood.
Officials said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
