LOUISIANA — Three people have died following a crash along River Road near the L’Auberge Casino, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office.
Emergency responders said the crash occurred around 8:40 p.m. Monday near River Road and Gardere Lane. Authorities reported that a vehicle struck a power pole in the area.
Two people inside the vehicle were initially pronounced dead at the scene. A third occupant was transported to a hospital in critical condition but later died from their injuries.
Officials said they are still working to identify the three victims.
The crash remains under investigation.
