MARYLAND — A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday morning in a crash in Chevy Chase, according to police.
The Montgomery County Police Department said the crash occurred around 6:14 a.m. at the intersection of Manor Road and Connecticut Avenue.
Investigators said the collision involved a motorcycle and another vehicle. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities closed Connecticut Avenue (MD-185) in both directions between Manor Road and Jones Bridge Road as crews responded and began their investigation. Officials said all lanes remained blocked for an extended period, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
No additional information about the motorcyclist or the circumstances of the crash has been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
