OHIO — A traffic stop in Logan County led to a drug-related arrest Friday evening with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies and a K-9 unit.

According to authorities, Washington Township Police stopped a silver sedan near the intersection of Township Road 239 and U.S. Route 33 after noticing the vehicle was traveling with its turn signal activated for an extended period without turning. Officers followed the vehicle into Russells Point, where additional unusual driving behavior was observed before the stop was conducted.

Russells Point Police and deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

The driver, identified as 33-year-old Joshua Rorabough of DeGraff, was reportedly seen making movements inside the vehicle prior to stopping.

During the investigation, officers observed signs of possible drug use and noted blood inside the vehicle, including on the center console, roof and driver’s side door panel.

A K-9 unit, identified as Tega, was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle and the driver led to the discovery of a bag containing several used hypodermic needles hidden on Rorabough. Additional needles and drug-related items were also found inside the vehicle.

Authorities said a small bag containing a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine was recovered, along with several empty baggies containing residue.

Rorabough was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail. He is facing charges including drug possession and tampering with evidence. Officials noted he has prior drug-related convictions.

The investigation remains ongoing.
