
OHIO — Police are investigating after a 17-year-old was shot outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Cleveland.
According to preliminary information from the Cleveland Division of Police, officers responded around 3:30 p.m. Saturday to the restaurant in the 15100 block of St. Clair Avenue, near East 152nd Street, after reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Police administered first aid before Cleveland EMS transported him to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Investigators said the incident began as an argument between two groups inside the restaurant. The dispute then moved into the parking lot, where shots were fired.
Authorities also said a 9-year-old who was inside a nearby vehicle when the shooting occurred suffered minor injuries from broken glass. The child was taken to a hospital and is also in stable condition.
Fifth District detectives are investigating the incident. No additional information about suspects has been released.
