FLORIDA — A man was found dead early Sunday morning on a roadway in Pompano Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they responded around 2 a.m. to the 1600 block of North Dixie Highway after receiving a report of a body in the road.
When deputies arrived, they located a man lying in the roadway. Authorities said the man had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the man’s identity.
The roadway was shut down for approximately four hours while homicide detectives investigated the incident.
