INDIANA — A 25-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in DeKalb County, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies responded around 7 a.m. to the 500 block of County Road 52 in Garrett for a reported crash.
A preliminary investigation indicates an SUV was traveling eastbound when, for an unknown reason, it left the roadway, struck a utility pole, rolled over and came to rest in high water due to flooding.
Officials said the driver, identified as Tristan Boyles of Kendallville, was removed from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
