
MICHIGAN — One man is dead and a woman is seriously injured following a head-on crash Saturday morning in Montcalm County, according to the Michigan State Police.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Howard City Road near Almy Road in Reynolds Township.
Investigators said a 71-year-old man driving an Alfa Romeo was traveling west when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound Jeep Cherokee driven by a 64-year-old woman.
Authorities said both drivers were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man later died at the hospital, while the woman underwent surgery.
Officials said the crash remains under investigation.
