
KENTUCKY — An investigation is underway after human remains were discovered Saturday in Madison County, according to authorities.
The Kentucky State Police said troopers were notified just before noon after human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area off Moran Summit Road.
Officials said the remains were removed from the scene by the Madison County Coroner.
Authorities said the remains will be taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for identification.
Investigators have not released any information about the identity of the remains or how long they may have been at the location.
