
LOUISIANA — The body of a 17-year-old has been recovered in Grand Isle, according to authorities.
Officials said the teen had been playing with friends when he was pulled into the water by a rip current.
According to the Grand Isle police chief, the incident prompted a search along the shoreline.
The United States Coast Guard launched a small boat from Station Grand Isle to assist in the search effort.
Authorities said the body was later recovered.
No additional details about the teen’s identity have been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
