SOUTH CAROLINA — Multiple school districts across South Carolina will be closed during the week of April 6 through April 10, 2026, as spring break takes place in parts of the state, according to district calendars.
Among those with confirmed full-week closures:
- Charleston County School District lists April 6–10 as spring break, with schools closed for the entire week.
- Berkeley County School District also shows April 6–10 designated as spring break, meaning no classes for students during that period.
- Spartanburg County School District Five confirms spring break scheduled for April 6–10, resulting in a full week without classes.
Additional districts have spring break periods that extend into that same week:
- Oconee County School District lists spring break from April 3–10, covering the entire April 6–10 week.
- In the Upstate region, Spartanburg County School District Three schedules spring break from April 5–11, keeping students out all week as well.
These closures reflect South Carolina’s district-by-district calendar system, where spring break timing varies. While many districts had earlier breaks, several systems—particularly in the Lowcountry and parts of the Upstate—will have students out of school for all of next week.
