PENNSYLVANIA — A limited number of school districts across Pennsylvania will be closed at the beginning of the week of April 6 through April 10, 2026, as spring break schedules extend into that timeframe.
Among those with confirmed closures, School District of Lancaster lists Monday, April 6 as part of its spring break period, meaning students will not attend classes that day before returning later in the week.
In addition, several districts in southeastern Pennsylvania scheduled spring recess through Good Friday on April 3, with some extending break schedules to include April 6 as a final day off for students depending on the district calendar.
These closures are limited and primarily affect only the start of the week. No major districts are scheduled to be closed for the entire week of April 6–10.
School officials advise families to check with their local district for specific schedules, as calendars vary by district.
