PENNSYLVANIA — A 3-year-old child was seriously injured in a lawnmower accident Friday afternoon in North Strabane Township, according to police.
The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. on Trotwood Drive in Washington County.
Authorities said the child suffered a serious leg injury and was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.
According to police, the child’s father was mowing the lawn when the accident happened.
No additional details have been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
