
OHIO — A Batavia woman has died following a motorcycle crash late Thursday night in Clermont County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just after 10 p.m. on U.S. Route 50 near milepost 8 in Stonelick Township.
Troopers said 38-year-old Emily Koeppe was traveling southeast on a 2013 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight motorcycle when she overturned while navigating a curve in the roadway.
Investigators said the motorcycle traveled off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail.
Koeppe suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby landing zone to be airlifted to UC Medical Center. Authorities said she was pronounced dead before being flown to the hospital.
Troopers noted that Koeppe was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Stonelick Township Fire and EMS, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, UC AirCare, the Clermont County Coroner’s Office and Tarvin’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
