ALABAMA — A 16-year-old driver has died following a single-vehicle crash in Marshall County, according to authorities.
The crash occurred in the 800 block of Old McVille Road in Crossville. The Marshall County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and pronounced the teenager dead.
Officials have not released the victim’s name due to standard privacy protocols involving minors.
The Alabama State Troopers are leading the investigation into what caused the crash, with assistance from the coroner’s office.
Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Asbury Volunteer Fire Department, Albertville Fire Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall Health Systems EMS and Marshall County 911.
The investigation remains ongoing.
