INDIANA — Authorities in northern Indiana are seeking the public’s help in locating a woman wanted on multiple charges, according to Michiana Crime Stoppers.
Wanetta Lamphier is currently wanted in St. Joseph County on charges of identity deception and theft. Officials say Lamphier, a Caucasian female, is described as approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Details surrounding the alleged offenses have not been released, but authorities indicate the charges stem from incidents involving fraudulent use of another person’s identity and the unlawful taking of property.
Law enforcement officials urge anyone with information on Lamphier’s whereabouts to contact Michiana Crime Stoppers or local authorities. Tips can often be submitted anonymously, and in some cases may be eligible for a reward.
As with all criminal cases, Lamphier is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
