
VIRGINIA — A man was injured in an overnight shooting in Norfolk, according to police.
Officers were called to Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital at approximately 1:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a walk-in gunshot victim. Police said the man had been dropped off at the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Authorities said the injury was not considered life-threatening.
According to investigators, the victim told officers the shooting occurred in the Poplar Hill area of Norfolk. No additional details about the circumstances of the shooting have been released.
The case remains under investigation.
