FLORIDA — Authorities in Fort Myers are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted on a probation violation related to drug offenses.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Bobby James Hitchman, 37, is currently wanted for violation of probation tied to charges involving the selling, manufacturing, or delivering of drugs. Hitchman, whose date of birth is listed as May 30, 1988, is described as a white male. Additional identifying details were not immediately released.
Officials say the warrant stems from a prior case in which Hitchman was placed on probation, but he has since failed to comply with its terms. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking his whereabouts.
Authorities urge anyone with information about Hitchman’s location to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously through Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, and individuals providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
Law enforcement cautions the public not to approach Hitchman if spotted, and instead to contact authorities immediately.
