
GEORGIA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning on Interstate 285 in Clayton County, according to police.
Authorities said the crash occurred on I-285 westbound near State Route 139, also known as Riverdale Road.
Officials with the Clayton County Police Department said the pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The interstate was temporarily closed in the area as emergency crews responded to the crash.
Police said no suspects have been identified and no charges have been announced at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
