NORTH CAROLINA — A person was killed in a shooting Wednesday morning in the Moores Chapel area of northwest Charlotte, according to Medic.
Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services said crews responded to a reported shooting on Florentine Way, located just off Moores Chapel Road and Sam Wilson Road near Interstate 485. Officials later confirmed the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released information about what led up to the shooting, and it remains unclear whether a suspect has been identified.
