
OKLAHOMA — A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting early Wednesday morning in north Tulsa, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
Police said officers were called around 1:45 a.m. to a convenience store near Apache Street and Harvard Avenue after reports of a man threatening workers.
When officers arrived, they encountered the man, who was armed with a knife. Authorities said officers gave commands for him to drop the weapon, but he continued to act in a combative manner.
Officers then opened fire, striking the man.
The suspect was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
No officers were injured during the incident.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.
