
OHIO — A man has been arrested after allegedly robbing a KeyBank branch in Miami Township on Monday, according to authorities.
Officials said the robbery was reported shortly before 3 p.m. at the bank located on Miamisburg Centerville Road.
According to a township spokesperson, the suspect, identified as 62-year-old John Butler, allegedly passed a note to a teller demanding cash. The teller complied, and Butler then fled the bank.
Authorities said license plate reader cameras helped identify a suspect vehicle, which was later located on Interstate 75. Officers conducted a traffic stop and took Butler into custody without incident.
Officials added that Butler is also under investigation after what was described as a large amount of drugs was reportedly found on him.
He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
